~*~*~*~*~*~*~ A shimmer of snowflakes Drift though violet twilight And spray a twinkling horizon... The trees yawn, their aging arms Netted in colored lights And from somewhere beyond Curls of gray cloud Sleighbells tinkle and chime. Tiny cottages lay nestled Between silver-silhouetted hills And the mellow dance of candlelight Wafts behind drawn curtains... Sleepy eyes gleam As a gentle Christmas melody Creates a pathway to dreams. In the quiet moment that suspends Just before dawn A soft chuckle and footfall Can be heard upon the snowy roof... Presents delivered with care Are laid gently beneath the tree. Morning stretches forth, her wings Blazing with a rosy fire And from every tiny house The excited murmur of children And the tearing of wrapping paper Can be heard by any passing ear. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *Krista Knutson* I'm a slow dying flower In a frost-killing hour The sweet turning sour and untouchable... -Natalie Merchant |

Wonderful Christmas poem, my dear. Filled with your beautiful words as always, I only wish I could spend my Christmas a little closer to you. Great writing Abrahm Simons "I'm not sick, but I'm not well, and I'm so hot, cause I'm in Hell." - Harvey Danger |
