This Man
(Died for me and you, his name Jesus)

I have come to understand a man died for me,
He gave of him self unconditionally.
Never once swerving from predestine path
knowing of his birth, adolescence,
final walk on this earth and then his death
given for all to see.

In immaculate- conception He was conceived,
born on star light night in a manger.
Swaddling cloth He was wrapped presented in
humility, becoming a fine carpenter.
At twelve a minister of the truth keeping nothing
secret from those in synagogues and temples.

Reaching out to all His goal never neglecting a soul,
a man walking in faith and refined dignity.
Believing that all-even ones not yet to be, should be
given to opportunity. His faith unsurpassed
by no other, challenged by all who felt they to knew
truths worthy of attention.

His death preordained written along time ago,
a sacrificial gift for all I am told.
Now reining a king in the heavens above, still
possessing of the love he shared here
on the earth, teaching our forefathers the fruitages
of the spirit, Ten Commandments and
much more.

Sometimes I find it so hard to believe that
He died for me so willingly, so that I may live
for eternity. My walk on this earth has not
always been in purity, I have done
what I wanted, giving of self the best that I can,
but now that I ponder what this one
whom I never have meet has done without so
much as blink of eye, I am
feeling grateful and humbled and hope that
my sincere thanks He will accept
from me.

Wonderful gift of words from you. If only the blind in mind could truly see, as you have, the gift of life he gave on that day so long ago.
Thank you for this beautiful poem, a reminder of the reason for the season.
