Memories Slow Dance

Memories slow dance,
like shadows on distant walls,
forever into the sleepless night.

For tapestries, woven by Fate,
with a weave of braided dreams unraveled
and tangled paths to the future,
end only with cries for hope.

While tears within weep,
wish to be kissed away forever,
pour forth from eyes
that still show the pain,
from a heart that bleeds for you
and these tears fall untouched.

As the sands of my hour glass silently pour
and time travels the memories of you,
The slow dance of shadows,
waltz on to the melody,
from the beat of my broken heart.

If a dream touches us, it exists to us as anything else that touches us.
John

Wow JR you have some very great lines all through this poem.

Also I am a follower of the guru of free verse.

another shadow poem from my past...
Shadow Dancing

When shadows fill
and grace the night
tempt release of memories

Silhouetting in the dark
desires rise
in heated breeze

Concealed in silken
flow of gown
a cloud of lazy whitened glow

Journey's to a memory
when darkness rules
her thoughts follow

Suggestions touch
his wish commands
invades her patterns of the night

Craves to please
as eyes behold
loneliness escapes, takes flight

The hunger quelled
hears melody
it's in the wind, a scented rose

Then shadows seek
to comfort she
in arms to fall 'til sunrise shows

your words do touch...bring life to my mine

Beautiful
"Memories Slow Dance", the title in itself says so much. Life goes so darn fast, yet the memories always seems to be played in slow motion.

JohnR~ JohnR~
Oh ... perfectly said.
I would always want the memories to slow-dance through my heart.

'As the sands of my hour glass silently pour
and time travels the memories of you'

Yes !  Yes !  Yes !
Goodness - I hope you can tell - I LIKE this.
