in the quiet of the room
the small one stirs
dreams disturbed by night
and as she cries
she hears the voice
the voice of one
who would calm her fears
and chase her demons

             sleep small one
             till rise of sun
             put fears away
             till break of day
             to thy heart
             I will impart
             a life of love
             from angels above

the small one coos
dreams returned to spirit
and the mother smiles
the demons gone
and the love shines

Ah, this is a treasure to be shared with her babies for sure...

I have been reading these tributes, but don't know many of the poets since I don't hang out in Open much, but this poet I do know, and you have chosen the thing nearest her heart to write about.  I am impressed by your insight and dedication to writing about your fellow poets.

Sven, this is an absolutely wonderful description of Dee, I really love it. I really and truly do. Lovely and so softly tender, delightful.
