I wrote this last summer as I watched many people I cared about get hurt in the game of love. LOVE....The Game Karen Torbiak August 9, 2000 I watch the game being played by all words written for all to read but wrapped in questions and mystery Who would know if they were to answer the call A game where hearts are twisted and torn no honest telling of true emotion leading to confusion and hurt kept hidden In a game like this how can true love be born Words on a screen can many meanings hold yet hearts yearn to hear their desires read for each one to say something different Is love so weak that it cannot be bold We must play the game for it is a must draw hearts close within hurtful web reach out then withdraw to have them chase The Game of Love has no room for trust Hints and smiles to beckon the heart no promises but wanting to capture all and have love on knees begging to let please Come around and see for there are many parts Love The Game is being played for all to see passions words used to ignite the soul soft caresses to please and tease Capturing the heart to never set it free Do you want to play this game with all it’s lies to never know the heart of one you love and throw the dice to take a silly chance It’s from this kind of game that I running, fly For games that hurt the emotions are not for me honest open love is what I seek to be complete where truth and trust gives love a chance to grow From Games of Love my hurting heart does flee http://www.geocities.com/karenltorbiak/index.html |

Startime / Karen, this is so true, Oh how those games hurt and maim Never will your heart feel the same Tears fall in a torrent of pain And loves sky pours with rain Trust is wandering and so lost Your soul in sorrow pays the cost As spirit on pains oceans is tossed And love is withered by lusts frost Take care Mushy Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

'Tis a game for sure, startime, and the rules keep changing....but it's still the only game in town Excellent writing once again, dear poet! |
