Grace

The wind whipped salt that claw without halt.
The bore of the core shred sheets to the deck
My shadow default to the dark and assault
And I held the oak by swear and tie check.

Like a pillar of salt locked on the wheel
Rang the ships bell as I sliced through blue steel .
Wheeled the prow that plowed through each swell
Rode the waves swell into heaven then hell.

She could yaw, was strong and with no part frail
I had faith in the board of this ladylove.
Steadied her course through the force of the gale
And watched the sky for a sign from above.

I stood eyes blazing hands without feel
Wishing and waiting the waters to heal.
When out from the black showed a crack in the cloud
And I shouted thank heaven for lifting hells shroud.

The sun bathed my face in a warming embrace
And I lowered my head in a prayer for his grace.

Just when you need "him" most is when you can most assuredly find him. Now we all know that "he" is constantly with us but it is so nice when we are graced with that special sign.  Wonderful read from you. Much enjoyed.

Seymour~
You took us through the storm into serenity.
A special gift you have.

'The sun bathed my face in a warming embrace
And I lowered my head in a prayer for his grace.'

May we always remember to acknowledge His grace.
I think your compass is right-on.
Thank you, dear friend.
Love you.
