               White Horse

I saw you riding,
your image pale and alluring.
You glistened like mist in the distance,
and my eyes stood still.
Your horse was white and pure
and your grace and beauty obsessed me
in an infinite quest.

I longed to ride with you,
to share the secrets of your horizons.
To see the magic your eyes reflected.
I yearned to conquer the power of the reigns,
and discover the victory you encountered
as you rode through the sunrise,
and captured its essence.

You appeared before me on a spring dawn,
showering the morning dew
in a crystal rain that sparkled in your smile.
You reached out your arms,
as your whisked me onto your animal
of magnificence.
You rode gently, as you took me through
the enchantment and euphoria,
I once only dreamed about.
I saw the sorrows of my life spinning in a
blur of miles behind me, and up ahead,
I saw all the beauty I could never reach before.

I held onto you tightly,
daring to feel the passion
and leaving my innocence behind.
We rode on the waves of heaven's ocean,
raging in beauty and glory
and never letting go of this majestic paradise.

I lived an entire lifetime in the shrine of that season,
like an orphan child lying in the welcome arms of love.
Then, one morning I awoke in your arms
and the sunset had faded.
Your eyes were weary,
and your white horse had collapsed.
When I looked down at the horse,
I noticed that he was a unicorn.
And it was then that I realized,
...that you were only a mirage.

*sigh* oh gosh your poems are dripping with the lose of a dream that has been in your heart for so very long. How very sad when the fantasy fads only to leave a feeling that reality never kissed the heart of the one we love. Oh my, you have me thinking and looking to what fantasy I would have in my life. Hugs, dear one. Much love and the wish that love enters your arms and fills your life in all the ways you desire.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

Sven,
I can always count on you to understand completely. You are the Knight that belongs on that white horse!  I am thinking that you may be out of a fairytale of days gone by.  Alas, if only we could go back...
         Much love,
             Elise
