Have you ever had a whistle day, one of those days where no matter what happens you just sail right through it, usually the sky is blue and the air clean and crisp, like an apple and just as sweet. That’s the way today was, and even though I was looking and couldn’t find where I needed to go I kept on looking and eventually the curb slowed and the numbers corrected themselves, and the gate was open, even the dog was small and brown and licked my awwww. So this whistle it just sounded sharp and keen across the sky and the trees were perfect outlines for zapping back and forth without touching a leaf or disturbing a pine cone and I just thought to write the notes down so I’d remember how the tune went you know, so I could play it again some cold December rain and know that no matter how bumpy, I’m talking here about the road the path that has no sign posts, the whistle can come back around and touch me, see. < !signature--> In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. Martie~ If I had to pick a perfect tune - it would be to hear your whistle ! My father always whistled and it is the sound I most associate with remembering him. BUT ... this little jewel~ 'even the dog was small and brown and licked my awwww.' ... just wrapped me up in delight ! ![]() You are adorable ! Love n' awwww's ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Martie* Days like this are meant to be wrapped and placed within our hearts so that we can pull them out when we need a reminder that "a bad day" doesn't last forever...wonderful thoughts from you!! This one will be tucked in my library as an added "whistle day" ![]() |

Marge--my whistle ain't that pertty, but it is a sign of happiness...I'm glad to know you remember your fathers. Buterflies--You always say such nice things...thank you for tucking this in your library. Bonnie--Thanks so much for reading...and your nice comment Janet--for some reason last night my muse tapped me on the shoulder...and this is what happened. Mike--I'm so glad your smiling...cause I sure am, just seeing your name...how are you, my friend?? Bill--the question is, can you smile and whistle at the same time...I can't, but then a smile can be in your heart and not your face...so glad you liked this! Vas--of course you can put this in your favorites...I am honored! |

This is lovely, Martie! You writing is always an inspiration! Puppies always think we are wonderful, don't they! And the best thing to do with a whistle, is, indeed, to save it for a cold winter day. Ways to lift spirits! Excellent! [This message has been edited by Rosemary J. Gwaltney (edited 11-19-2000).] |

I love this, Martie... I tend to put pen to paper when I'm feeling down or subdued... so those are the memories I come back to... But I'm bookmarking your whistle for another smile... and enjoying the smile it gave today! *S* |
