Dreams by Richard Maxfield 5-14-99 DREAMS are like A vaporous mist Fledging thoughts With reality twist Invading the darkest Of my night Haunting till Morning light Sun rises Chases them away Only to return Before the end of day Shadows flicker In my mind Of another place Another time Dreams were once Reality A love shared Between you and me Dreams can Come true But not dreams Of me and you Hopeless thoughts Of things that pasted Dreams of you Will always last copyright #RM99R4 |

Richard, They can haunt you, but only if you let them. Always tough to say good-bye. Well done. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
