Holding That White Dove! ~~Daniel J D~~ The tears in my eyes Are pain from my heart Torn and shredded Contemplating life apart My arms have gone out Offering support But the pleas seem lost How can love so pure And seemingly forever Be shattered, in tatter Begging for a cure Kneeling in agony Eyes closed, ears deaf You left only a paper leaf Saying it was over All that is left is a memory Perhaps trying hard is not the answer For when a mistake is seen as an error Forgiveness to you did not exist Even though our life was an endless list Of happiness, and understanding The choice you took was opting out Nevertheless, my love I will hold in my hand that white dove Look after it, caress it, until you return Then I shall release it in turn And in the name of peace and love Hold you in my arms again, my love Drying your tears, while comforting you In the home, I maintained for you Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |

God knows this broke my heart! Such sorrow, such poetry in a beautiful plea for understanding. God bless. What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |
