I Was____I Am I Was...A Scared little girl... Trembling, Afraid, Shaking, Frightened, Helpless...Scared. Cowering in the corner, Bruised, Bleeding... Forever Pleading... Waiting for the next pain, Wishing there would be no more. I Am... A Strong Mature Woman... Challenging, Independent, Capable, Powerful, Willful...Strong. Janet...Thanks so much for the kind words..Glad you stopped in and read...Took alot of years to get away from this, but I did it and I'm so much stronger because of it...And yes, we are the only one's who can set ourseleves free...Thanks again...  ~LL~P.S. I was that little girl and wish I was the woman, but I'm not. The little girl is still hiding in the corner and I can't seem to let her go. With all the love and support my husband gives I can't shake the fear I had as a child. You wrote it so well, I can still see myself crying but scared to make a sound. God I'd give anything for that nightmare to go away. |
