When I think how you've bewitched me No slyness, no slight-of-hand With poetic words that ply me I wonder about playing warlock Is it fair you hypnotize me? I should have a doll from Haiti I could kiss so tenderly Wearing a lock of your hair One I could love oh so free Having read my poems you know What I could do with that doll Your eyes holding their soft glow I’m imagining your smooth skin Sweet I hear your voice just so Leading us deep into sin I know as much as I want you All I'll do is dream of the day When my strong arms will enfold you Drive all your cares far away Kiss tears off, tenderly hold you In your ear love words softly say No I won't be playing warlock Bewitched as I am in my mind Thinking of you round the clock Close to you, you've made me bind I see you wearing a silk frock Round your fingers thus I do wind I won’t be drinking of hemlock Though to others you've made me blind Just to you, your solid possession My undying love pledged evermore Just to you without any condition But that doll could even the score There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~Janet Mar |

Evening Wilfred, Your writing is suberb, and pleasing to read. I did enjoy this one, yet I also enjoy all of the others that I can manage to get to. Very nicely done. BC |

Wilfred, right now I feel like Elizabeth Montgomery! What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

I'm "online" but briefly - not as comfortable as I'd like to be - - so please let this blanket 'thank you' suffice - I do appreaciate all your kind responses. |
