Jack-o-lanterns
Not forgotten
‘specially when
They are rotten!

Darth Vader
Tweety bird
Scary demons
Never heard

I was so proud
When I was Vader
Wore the Underoos
I’ll show you later

Let ye nastys
Return to books
I’ve got candy
No dirty looks

Psst, did ya hear
O'er Avenue C
They’z got Skittles
And Honey Bees

Whole chocolate
Candy bars!
Cross the street
'tween the cars!

What’s that you say
Whole silver nickels
And my! Next door
Green gherkin pickles

Best scenario
A bowl in lawn
Don’t go o’er tho
They is all gone

I never smashed
No pumpkins ne’er
Nor taken soap
To windows there

I never egged a house
Nor hurled a flaming sack o poop
I never Tee Peed a tree
Was I in with the wrong group?

I did for sake o sugar
Return to every house
As Peter Pan, Mickey Dolenz
And that good ole Mighty Mouse

And here I was thinking that I was the only one that went as one of the Monkees (Mike Nesmith... spppoookkkyyyy)  This was a great read!  I was thouroghly entertained!  This year I'm going as a nun (a pregnant nun, at that, but hey, it's the only costume that'll fit me! Grrrrrr).  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh yeah, I remember running from house to house, wearing those plastic masks with the eye wholes that you could barely see out of!  I didn't "trick" any houses either, but I knew some kids who did!
Good job!

A nice kid you really were.
You have let your mask slip down,
though I bet you were the class clown.
I don't always understand your poems
but this is something I can relate to.
Very Good!!!

ROFL ... You're terrific Walt, great poetic reminders of "how it was"! I'll pass on the pickles, but I'll take those skittles ... directions please!

Best wishes,

I never went as one of the Monkeys, but I did go as a monkey once.  No bananas though.  Thanks for the flashback.  As for teepeeing... we were to busy on All Hallows Eve for such trickery. I won't say about the rest of the year.

ROFL! That title Walt, the title! LOL
Not what I expected to see inside LOL, I was thinking UH-OH! LOL

Good one bud! I can't say I did the tricks either, but I do remember staying out late, and hitting every possible house.
Thanks for the fun!
