Solitude~ is a desperate plea And the only living part of me Voices laugh and voices cry As pieces of my life trickle by Blasted from the world I’ve known Forced to live in this hellish home Demons sleep not: in my mind No witching hour is theirs to find I’ve turned my self outside in Then, I turn around again The floor is hard the walls are white The moon shines on them with a grayish light As all my life has come undressed And I lay necked with out rest The inner soul has died in me And so they say: it has to be Their laughter screaming in my ears No time has past: there is none here Still and cold: with out breath I lay in waiting for what is left The doors are closed I heard them slam As footsteps echo there depart Taking with them my bleeding heart Solitude~ is a desperate plea Yet all and all, their victory ~ © tori 2000 If with pen in hand I've made you think I've not wasted one drop of ink Vlh. visit my site~ http://www.hsanet.net/user/dkm/hellomy.htm |

Tori... This is so powerful in it's meaning, and you wrote it so splendidly! Solitude can be a friend, or an enemy. I once lived on a mining claim in complete solitude, and after a few years...I came to cherish that aloneness. It provided me with a chance to get to know my real self. Thank you for writing this...... Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Tori, I have not seen your posts before this.. so this is my first read of you. And what a powerful read it was. Your well written words are so true.. I hope you don't find yourself in this place very often however. ~~Tara aka rp25 :o) |

Solitude seems to come when we don't want it and when we do then it is hard as heck to find most times. You have penned a beauty with this one. Excellent write. |
