Revised and finished (April 13, 2000) Revised and finished again...(October 7, 2000) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Night teases with windy fingers, Caressing her face, While whispering, The moon's urgency, Into her hushed ears. He toys softly with loose tendrils, Of freshly washed hair. The landscape consumes her, As she sinks into its arms, A willing victim to soft tyranny. Green boughs watch over, Submissive thoughts that climp upward, And become tangled, In twigs and leaves. She, at the base of a tree, Is sighing with the attentive breeze. Swings, see-saws, Monkey bars, and the merry-go-round, Long for attention. They silently beckon her, For a private romp into childhood fun. She comtemplates surrender, A sailing ship revisiting thuderous seas. Guardian of the fortress, Or the sought after Queen, Of an exotic fairy tale land. Weathered swings, Dangle from rusty chains. The see-saw sits with one end proud, Awaiting new passengers to splinter. Monkey bars are abandoned, And empty of triumphant fortress screams; The merry-go-round, Having ceasted its roundtrip tour, Is absent of merry spin-drunk laughter. She is content, With no need for exhausting, Such a calm state of mind, With true physical movement. The wind continues to tease. The night holds its secret passion, And the world seems to have, A more languid motion, While she exists, In moments of deeply inhaled pleasure. My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber. |

Mark: Sure! Come on over! The playground is probably a little cooler at night since its October and not April now. Nothing like revisiting childhood glee! I'm glad you enjoyed it! |

'While she exists, In moments of deeply inhaled pleasure.' Wow. What a great picture!! Loved this!! sp Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: 'it might have been.' -John Greenleaf Whittier |

Temptress~ Oh ..... how lovely are your thoughts here. The playground of our hearts is always open. Some really nice images jump to mind. Enjoyed the read, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
