Prayer of Release ( for John ) Lord, let me lie in pastures of forgetfulness, For the world is too much with me, And I care even less, This life that you have given, Has stripped me to the bone, Robbing me of sanity, leaving me alone, And Lord do I grow weary, Of the small affairs of men, For the world is too much with me, And I long to sleep Amen. |

reading this make me feel so sad, you send up a prayer, so that you would release. Don't give up, behold your faith, even when it is hard to do, and believe me....I was there too...have faith my dear..... ***((huge warm hug))) Charisma, feel free to email me. |

Charisma and Irish Rose, Thank you both for your kind sentiments, I wrote this poem for a friend of mine who is dying from cancer. It is how he feels every day, and rightly or wrongly I was trying to explore his pain and in so doing ease my grief. I will certainly pass on your kind and thoughtfull words, to a man who deserves them much more than I. Regards and Thanks Olias |

I wish the best for your friend and for you too. I know it is not easy to watch a friend in pain. Abra "So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key." -Already Gone, The Eagles |

This is sadly tender. I liked it. I will keep you and your friend in my thoughts. |
