Smile, they say, It could be worse... Could it? Somedays the hurt, the pain, the feeling it just won't go away. Smile, they say, It takes less energy... Does it? It seems to hard to begin to try to reverse the frown. Smile, they say, It'll make you feel better... Will it? How can something that simple, that easy end the hurt? Smile, they say, You're too pretty to frown... Am I? I feel as though I could never be beautiful I have nothing left to give. Smile, they say, Please smile... Why? Why does my unhappiness hurt them why do I have to pretend? Smile.... "In three words I can sum up everything I learned about life: It Goes On" ~Robert Frost |

I'd never want my loved ones to pretend with me. I want to make them genuinely happy! We shouldn't make people think they have to fake happiness; we should do more to make it real! Well, enough philosophy! Great write! sp Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: 'it might have been.' -John Greenleaf Whittier |

"Smile, though your heart is breaking. . . " Of course, you know that song went through my head almost immediately. . . You must smile. . . a frown is not allowed! Excellent poem, and it's good to see that you have friends that care about you. . . -------------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Touching peice, truly. Clown Faces All about me are people with faces of clowns, fake. Always smiling when they're really crying. Keeping thier faces false, to act as shields. Using their faces as walls, to keep from being touched. Dropping thier facades occassionally, getting hurt, then building them up again, stronger than before... Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. JP Most people would rather die than think; in fact, they do so. B. Russell |

Sometimes we love someone so much that we can't stand to see them unhappy, so we try to force them into cheering up. But, sometimes it's better to let someone feel their pain for a time.....that's part of the growing experience. Beautiful job here, my friend! Follow your dream! |
