When your love reaches me Spreads through me its savor All I've given away, all I've taken in life Disappears, loses its flavor Dawning spring buds in my heart Your love removes al the strife Now bring me your fragrance Now bring me your kisses Close out the world with your hair Let me know what bliss is Reawaken love's wellspring within me Warm me in the love of your stare In my deepest dreams I wander alone Seeking and crying out to the dark Consummate love given life and its rapture Let me hear your voice soft as a lark Hunting your hands in the leaves of the night Needing the caresses that only you capture When your love reaches me My every care does take flight Feelings overwhelming running through me Only with you does it feel just right No matter the time, with you -it's the night I'm reaching for you lover, come lord it o'er me. ~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning. ~ Billy Wilder |

So many beautiful lines in this, Bill... "close out the world with your hair"... "Let me hear your voice soft as a lark Hunting your hands in the leaves of the night" "No matter the time, with you -it's the night" You surely know how to write the longing of love! Paula- yes - that we could reach - those we love - I feel so strongly at times - I wonder that my loved one does not feel it palpably Thank you ~S~ Martie- If I study the beauty of the metaphors - that you and a few others here write - long enough - I may come close - Thank you for the encouraging words - |

Nan- I began my adult poetry writing at the end of '97 -in Early '98 my efforts were still rather pathetic - - I never throw anything away - but some of those maybe I should have. 'hand- leaves' was in original - but NAW you really don't want the source for the above. Thank you for the very nice thought tho. DGV- Thank you |
