She sat at home alone, and watched the show on her tv... Her children were all grown and it was down to he and she... Her life was one-half gone, but she expected something more... Now all she had was laundry, dirty dishes, dirty floor... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She’d always been a dreamer, used to daydream all the time... And when she closed her eyes at night, her dreams were so sublime... No matter how it seemed these days, as bad had turned to worst... There lived within her very soul, that old familiar thirst... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A thirst to see new faces, and new places she could go... To feel excited one more time, so that her heart would know... That she was still alive inside, and needed just to fly... To spread her wings, and set out for a dreamer’s clear blue sky... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She’d fly to lands beyond her world, and chores of everyday... She’d fly to where the sky stayed blue, and never turned to grey... She’d fly to where that special one would open her heart’s door... And then they’d fly away, on wings of love, forevermore... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is said that if a dream is deep inside of you... That all the magic you possess, can make that dream come true... There came a day when she was gone, and no one knew just why... But some believe that faeries came, and taught her how to fly... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, if you are a dreamer, listen to your longing heart... It will tell you what to do, and show you when to start... Just don’t let go, keep holding on to what you know is right... Someday your dreams, on faerie wings, Will lift you into flight... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! okay then so where is MY poem.....huh????LOL This was wonderful Sunny. I do believe I am a dreamer too but I also know that in time I will have my dreams in my hands as I do not sit back and let them linger. I dream them into reality. Excellent write my friend. |
