I dedicate this to a very very special person.

Until You

Quietly, patiently, I wait
Waiting for you to awaken me
Although I breathe softly
My blood flows gently
And my eyes are open
I do not live, I do not exist
Until you appear

When you enter my world
You flick the switch
Turning my spirit on
Your presence brings life
I'm filled with colour and light
Alive and vibrant
You transform the dull and drear
Into a sizzling, fizzing fire

I melt from the inside out
Dissolving into rainbow hues
My iced soul is bathed
In golden light
Your smile fans the flames
Building the fire higher
Engulfing my heart in heat

I drown eternally in your eyes
Caught in a mesh of fire
Only you have the key
I willingly cede the battle
Thankful to be in chains
To be a captive of your heart

Marsha

Sounds to me like someone really latched onto you and sent you through the fires of passion.  This is one sensuous poem from you and I know that this guy has got to be melting himself.  Nice to see you so happy these days.

Rosepetals25 thank you for your kind words. Mmm yes he is very special, and I'm glad the feelings come through. I only hope he knows how special, perhaps I ought to bring him to the site and show him.

Mark you always say such nice things to me. Sensous and passionate, well there's certainly heat here, no doubt about that. As for the man this is for, I say that the fire between us is very sweet, and he's worth every flicker of the flame, and then some!
Take care

Dee, love don't ask, anyway he's not your type, and boy am I glad he's not, otherwise you'd snaffle him too. (Oh great now I'll get into trouble for calling him a type) Well you know me, I've always suffered from foot and mouth, everytime I open my mouth I put my foot in it. Glad you like it, but as I say just don't put one of your gems close by this or everyone will know this is a fake and yours is the real McCoy.

Speak to you soon

Janet So you can feel the heat, can you. I must be entering a new phase, I'll call it my burning time. Does it hurt, only when the flames get out of control. It's not that I mind the fire brigade turning up. It's just those sirens they don't sound as musical as they should.
Thanks for stopping by

(Now who was it who told me not to smoke in bed? Ahh well I guess I'll have to keep the flames on a gentle roar!!)

Cerenity thank you, sorry I've taken so long to reply I've had to take the 'puter to the 'puter hospital, and the dear little thing has only just come back.
I'm glad you like this.
Take care
