Tonight,
I find inspiration
In thoughts of you.
In the still of night,
I find deeper serenity
In images of your face.
I won't say goodbye;
Why would I run
From such a light?
Nothing warms my heart
More than thoughts of
What could be.
Don't be afraid;
I could never go.
I've never found anything
Quite as precious.
Everything you do
Lifts my spirits;
Every word you say
Brings me joy.
Departing would be foolish;
Only you could make me smile
The way I do now.
(No one else
Could do what you do to me.)

Never giving up on the "ONE" that really is the "ONE" for us makes love what it is. Sounds to me like you have found that and are ready to make it last a few lifetimes at least. Beautiful write filled with lots of heart.

i remember being inspired by such thngs. and as you said, they literally warm the heart. a beautiful tribute to a special someone.

Mark: I'm glad you liked it, but, unfortunately, this was written back in '96, so I'll have to save it for the time when I find the "Right One" for me.
