Between the Lines

This Morning, Early

My cheeks were the color of roses,
flushed by the closeness of you.
That look in your eyes of awareness
edged desire, reflections of two.
In silent stare, I was lost again,
in the space between the lines.
Your words that kissed, to ease my pains
I savored, becoming mine.

I miss you more than you shall know,
I count each loss of smile,
Waiting for the wake up call
in your own artistic style.
The aching began the moment you left.
as I followed the path of the moon,
Last night it glowed a ball of fire
but disappeared, all too soon,

Behind the shades of gray that swirled
and felled me into deep
Of dreams that rose to color me
to warm me into sleep.
Removed the chills that iced my heart
to keep it's life on beat.
It won't be long, you shall return
to eyes, of silent speak.

~Wynter Bliss

**in my present state of mind, I am not too sure if I was inspired by any other than Christopher's  "edge of awareness" phrase a few poems ago, as I had made some mental notes on some phrases of which I used here. If I borrowed or was inspired and you recognize something here, know that I am thanking you for touching me in such a way, that I kept them in mind.(sometimes I find a few unfinished poems and thoughts and can't recall where they came from, if other than my own mind... an age thing I think *s)

This is quite lovely, and the shape and pattern of your word forms lovely images...

well done...I am glad you were inspired...

Nak,
Very beautifully written and very sad. Hope all is well. Cheer up.

Daniel, I am  cheerful, at least I feel I am...I think this weekend, bottom was hit...and the only way now is up...at least I am praying for that, finally.  I will continue to bounce a bit more, I am sure...the big "D" when unexpected does that to you...and since I have never experienced it before, I guess I am doing the best I can. Thank you for reading huggzz
