Deep Winter

Soft silence in new snow
on deep winter hillsides of gray, bare
stands of oak with hickory
mingling into shadows blown to windfall
a leftover canopy of broken limbs
tangled into undergrowth fodder
memorial to a summer past...
catalyst for the one to come.

reminds me of many scenes once visited, and the threat of fire's danger to come...

well done...

Denise, Victoria, Sunshine, Marge and ethome...Thank you.

I will be here a little more now that we are approaching winter and things will slow some for me. I need inspiration and hope to find it inside this winter.

Now that's a poetic line if I ever heard one...'I need inspiration and hope to find it inside this winter'.....I'm sure you will!
