So quietly you sit
cuddled on my lap
casting dreams upon the lake

Soft giggles as the wind
teases through our hair
and the sun paints yours
every shade of gold

A gentle kiss
placed carefully upon my cheek
Tiny fingers resting
on my arm
and within the space
of silence
you give me back
my truth

This is precious in both image and sentiment. I cannot pull out my favorite line, as I love them all. Very, very nicely written, and I thank you ~

Need to think up new superlatives for something that breathes so magnificently across my being. This is a place I've been, if only here and in my dreams.

Welcome to Passions - I'll be watching you!

dreamkeeper, I REALLY liked this! Tender, and simple, but also a touch of profundity (which is also somehow sweet, honest). A delightful read...

One doesn't have to speak, action speaks louder than words.
This is beautiful

This is beautiful, dreamkeeper, makes me think of a Cassatt painting (hope I didn't misspell that   - brain cramp).  Thanks for sharing it.
