 Remember when we used to run along the sandy shore? When life was full of fairy tales, excitement lay in store? We felt the sand between our toes… then splashed in pure delight? Remember when our love was young, and all the world seemed right? Remember when we shared a kiss? We were either nine or ten… How could we know, so long ago, that’s when our love began? I still recall that tingle on my lips… Now, how about you? Remember when our kiss was young, and tasted so brand new? Remember when you danced me on the beach, beneath the stars? While other teens were trying out the seats in backs of cars? The world lay at our fingers as you laid me in the sand… Remember that first night I was a woman, you…..a man? Remember how you went away to school and fell in love? And I remember screaming to the stars in heaven above! I couldn’t stand the fact that you would never be my own… Remember how I waved goodbye, then set out all alone? Remember how the years flew by, and both our loves did, too? and fate decided you and I should start our love anew? So, here we are, upon our beach, and walking in the sand… Remember when we used to run, together, hand in hand? So, time has pushed us back in love, and fate still wears a smile… Quietly we’ll tiptoe through life’s breaking waves awhile… Reflecting on our yesterdays, and sharing thoughts like this… Remember when, so long ago… We shared… that special kiss?
