Anticipating the feel of your hair The smell of your perfume Wanting badly to get past All these feelings here that loom The thought of tasting that first kiss Anxiety and thrill Embarked in this adventure gives An underlying chill That somewhere here upon us A fantasy awaits And with each given moment My heart anticipates The moment when I find you Pull your body close to mine That satisfying feeling That defies the test of time. Expectations grows more deeply With every word you say No longer sitting patient I want you more each day To hold me while I’m sleeping Let me know that you are here Afraid that I am dreaming Put to rest all that I fear. This chance stands here before you With all it’s offer and appeal No longer to convince you Take with it just what you feel |

Sometimes when I look out my window, I can see a river just past the road a little to the left. But I know there is not a river there, I've walked the bike path that is there. But who's to say that river won't be there someday? |
