for her, words are life they are her breath her blood they beat in her heart and pulse through her veins giving her another day of life another day of strength she writes to live she writes of her life her hopes and dreams become known to us because it is what she knows she finds solace in the words she gives us comfort in the words she becomes in the words becoming more than a poet more than a writer more than a person she becomes the poem for her, words are life and when she writes them we welcome her into our hearts our minds our souls we welcome her words of life -------------------------------------------------------------- < !signature--> That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 11-09-2000).] |

I have been reading all of your dedications to all the fine poets here and I must say that you have nailed each and every one of them to a tee. This one is no exception and you have brought to the blue pages a perfect verse of one of my favorites. I don't have the time that I used to have to spend in Passions replying to all of the lovely pieces here but I couldn't let this one go by. You are a true poet and a dear friend to so many here and your words show this in your wonderful tributes to the all of those within this wall. I applaud you and bow to your excellence of both pen and heart. |

Oh yes, this is Lady Elizabeth...her essence and soul...well done... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Sven, I have enjoyed so much reading your gallery of poets. These have been some of your finest work. Each poem is so unique. I was tearfully warmed when I saw my name attached to one of them. If this is your perception of me, then I am truly honored, because I have had difficulty communicating all of my life until I discovered poetry a year ago. I was always so shy and never realized how much there was to say. Thank you, dear friend for this lovely tribute. I am humbled by your words, for you have captured in it those things that are most important to me - the truths of life, the beauty of life, and loving others and giving of yourself. Thank you for your beautifully written poems about all our poet friends. Each and every one has been unique and exquisite. Liz I look forward to more Thank you, poet friends, for your lovely comments. You have brought quite a few tears. I appreciate your words Liz [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 11-09-2000).] |

Sven, You have done a remarkable job capturing the essence of Elizabeth here. Well done. I have always enjoyed her poetry very much. She writes with such feeling and from the heart. A treat to read. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
