Spring rushes in with the force of youth Bright new beginning of nature’s truth All things are possible, all things will be revealed With a wave of spirited pride yet to wield Something elemental, yet strange Summer comes and burns all in its path No mercy in its wanton wrath Its power felt at fullest bloom While the zenith is kindled to a higher noon And ignores the slight, whispered change Autumn falls amongst the weary kingdom With a gradual, deepening act of wisdom Seemingly unnoticed, but right before the eyes Everything changed somehow before it was realized And never again to be regained Winter slows the hands of time Clouds the heart, clouds the mind But clears the most ancient memory Igniting a profound epiphany, That the one constant is change |

Poetic Knight, What a nice look at the changing of the seasons. This was great!! Lovely images . . . like watching a movie. ![]() LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
