pseudo-paper white-hot paper takes the ink best -- ink absorbing best into fibers on fire 'til there's a blue boil if only i could write with such passion -- such burning passion i would need to attach my plume to gallon drums trees would not grow fast enough for me -- for deliberate me and you think paper mills stink now the deals would just come rolling in -- rolling greenly in wads so thick i'd join the nouveau riche but, then i remember only poets read poets -- read scratching poets on TV-like screens of pseudo-paper m.a. miller 11.08.00 my last post My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. This was great. "only poets read poets"......hmmm i loved that line! Hope you do comeback and don't leave like you said you would! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

SEA, et al ... i found myself getting wrapped up in looking for admiration for admiration's sake and that means persuading people to read my work by the mere fact that i had read theirs and had commented favorably (whether i actually liked it or not, had no bearing ... i just wanted to be read) and that is wrong ... i loved posting on Passions and left once before ... i missed the admiration ... i missed the instant gratification ... but, i was losing time and my poetry suffered ... poetry is a gift ... i've written 200 pieces since April of this year ... i don't know the exact number, but i'd bet i've posted more than half of that work here on Passions ... i need to rejuvenate my gift ... hone it ... polish it ... then give it again ... i hope you understand ... i'm not saying i will never post on Passions again (we all seem to return for that jolt of kudos on occasion and i'm no different) ... i'm pursuing print and really need to focus on that ... like i said above ... but, then i remember only poets read poets -- read scratching poets on TV-like screens of pseudo-paper thanks again to all for reading my scratchings ... My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. M.A. |

MA~ I really do understand. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I hope your time away finds your heart full of love and joy and your creative ink flowing. I also hope to see you in these blue pages again soon. -SEA |

Mark...but its so lonely here without you...you know you have my admiration...always...and I would read your scratchings on anything...leaves, toilet paper...computer screen...you are a poet...never doubt that...I will miss you...would you mind if I emailed you sometime?< !signature--> Don't close your eyes to the possibilities [This message has been edited by Paula Finn (edited 11-10-2000).] |

Iunderstand your reasons for leaving but please know that you will be sadly missed, and I look forward to your return. A great poem to end on, I look forward to your next chapter of poetry. but, then i remember only poets read poets -- read scratching poets on TV-like screens of pseudo-paper "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".
