Last Night
After the lights were all out
And the bustling had ended
And everyone slept
I lay there
Thinking of you

I remembered the past
The good times and bad
I remembered the thoughts
Of a future together, so strong
I remembered the smell
Of colgne, smoke and tide
And I remembered a love
Which had gone wrong

Last night as I wept
I dremot of the future
The joy only you can bring
To a life incomplete
And I remembered the words
Of great love and devotion
Meant only for me

And I wondered what changed
What made those words falter
And I hoped for a tomorrow
Without so much pain
And I prayed for a love
To match all the sorrow
But I know that can't be
'Cause your love was taken from me

"In three words I can sum up everything I learned about life: It Goes On"

If man could figure out what makes love turn sad, he could finally rest.  Nice piece my friend...I feel your ache.

Thanks for the response...  If only the world we lived in had no heartache perhaps it would be a perfect world

Ron
Thank you for responding, and feeling as I do.
