The wind blows about Like a cyclone-- Feels as if I could fly away. The waves crash ashore-- Think I could go back with them? The stars light the black sky; The clouds run quickly from the moon. I don't know, Love, It's just so complicated Sometimes. There's nothing simple About this emotion; When it comes to Love, All sense of logic is lost. I don't know what to say When cornered; I tend to break When pushed to the limit. I want to endure, But my spirit is spent. The wind of solitude blows While the waves of temptation Continue to call my name. Though I'm inclined To flee the face of crisis, I don't want to be alone. I would reach for the moon, But the clouds just jeer, Reminding me My goal is unattainable. Meanwhile, the stars, Shining brilliantly, Encourage and motivate, Declaring I can do anything. Dear Love, Everyone says different things-- Remind me Of the only thing that matters. I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |
