When we make love, the gates will open wide To treasures I had never come to know And I will live with happiness inside Delighting in the richness of your glow. When we make love, all pain will disappear Erased by all the joy you make me feel. Our day of blissful joy is drawing near To taste the nectar our love will reveal. When we make love, our hearts and souls will blend As essences now mingled into one. Toward Heaven's path my spirit will ascend To harvest golden apples of the sun. Should fate decree we'll not taste passion's thrill Rest easy knowing I will love you still. |

Should fate decree we'll not taste passion's thrill Rest easy knowing I will love you still. ================= OH MY ... you dont play fair.... just how much is a girl supposed to take .. you know what a sonnet does to me... and then you write it so sweetly kissed with passion ... talk about swoon to the moon ... this is superb poetry ... highlander....I thank you and welcome you to Passions Victoria...thank you...yes, a sonnet is definitely the preferred choice for love poetry, JanetMArie...you have just convinced me to write a LOT of sonnets!! Thank you, sweet person Nan....beats me! Thanks, teacher... serenity...glad you like it...I was gonna write a villanelle but I don't want to be called a villaneer!! you wrote one heck of a sonnet ole bud - knowing the last couplet is supposed to resolve what's 'built' in the 1st 12 lines -I was on tinterhooks wondering how you'd pull it off - and you did it beautifully! my hat's off |
