In a life where it s so cold
I lived like a prosthetic Christ
Trust in me we loved ourselves
Drained    we loved each other

I felt your skin again
I fell in you again
Why  I m always
twisting and turning
running and burning
dead and dying
for you and you
and you
again

I have seen what none have seen
I have held in you what none have held
Sometimes I dream like a kid in school
But your lectures were killing me
killing off imagination
It is true
I want to be a part of you
melt into you

Some say you ve been here before
covered in ash like a run a way dream
crying laughing at cool depression
bearing down on you with automatic intentions

Follow me down
I ll take you down
I m going down
Come with me down
We are all going down

We had it all
like Christ on the cross
but we never saw the nails
We never felt the thorns
It is strange how we can be so oblivious
while slitting our own thoughts
with thoughts of preservation
We felt so dead
just before we felt pride

Ummm, I can't really describe this but it's very abstract, sad, and it's a brilliant poem! Take care!

~E,...you must know that you have loads of talent. I am always appropriately pleased when I see a post by you. You never let me down. Your words here, hold much meaning and scurry off the page to the reader. Very heavy, and full of depth. Thanks for the read you. *Peace.

Sometimes we do sacrifice ourselves for love(nailed to the cross) and don't realise it(or we do...is the pleasuer worth the pain?). Love love's a martyr. good work.

Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox

You're right love does require sacrifice and sometimes it doesn't. Is pain worth the pleasure?

I'm glad you gave this a second run
through...never enough time in the day is
there!  This is awesome work...you giving me
much to think on today...and I'm lovin it!!
The format truly added to the poem...left an
impressionable mark on the work....great job!
