From His Lips

Today these words were sent to me,
By once a warm and loving friend.
If not to come and visit he,
He wishes plane crash, be my end.

I ask you all, what words are these?
Cruel and mean, to cast my way.
I place him now on shelf of mind,
Mute to me, his words shall stay.

How cruel at times, the shape of words,
Mean, defining lips, to fear.
To spite, to hurt, too painful now,
The loss of one, who once was dear.

And all because I have the chance
to rest, relax and visit one,
Who on here brings me smiles of joy,
Supporting words, each day when done.

I ask of you, what kind of man
Could ever be so out of touch,
To say such things so constantly,
Then say, how he does love me, much?

Sounds to me like someone who isn't worthy of your time. OR - someone who's hurt and will regret the words later.

Peace,

Chris

I agree with the above comments, you are so deserving of kindness and love. Good for the 'on shelf', good job writing.   Marcy

Christopher- the regret was all mine. Sometimes what you see on here, is by far not what you get.

EagleOne- thank you I was just in a sad mood, never thinking a mature person would say such words to anyone.

Marcy- you are very sweet. There are times when one needs to get away from their immediate life and refresh themselves and they should be able to do it without answering to someone else.  This is such a time.

thank you all

Sorry to here such mistreatment to someone as kind as you. It will be his loss. Hope your spirits brighten and you get better soon.

Yes, Ron...it's enough that I have to  put up with the hurt from abandonment..you would think a close friend could cut me a little slack... thank you...and except for this  headache... and sneezing...I am feeling a bit better today..

Well Sven, did you ever hear of online stalkers? This one has posted that poem and his response to mine in poetic form on two other sites to try and  make me see that it is my fault that I don't wish to be involved with him, hoping that all the cruel things he has sent to me over the past year will somehow make me feel kindly towards him. Some people are in need of professional help. I dreaded this day and for a year have gone easy on him trying not to have this happen, when I should have gotten it over with earlier. Well at least it's hitting me the same time as this flu, so if I am going to be sick, it will happen all at once. Thanks for reading and responding. I actually was very kind  to him in this poem, unlike his response to me. Sometimes I can't believe what happens to me on the net, but it would make a wonderful book someday.

You are the strong one.  I feel it in your words.  You don't need this relationship.  By the way.  You are a great poet.  Roger
