A Distinct Politician (election coming)

He pauses a moment half smiling
the sheep with no sheperd are lost,
and he has a knack for contriving
green pastures for markets he bought.

Should his story fall into limbo
bold rhetoric filled with deceit,
curing the problem is simple
he'll promise collective relief.

The graceful changes he's promised
he stirred into the media pot.
Supporters predict him so honest
opposers would credit him not.

He's talked a grat deal with bargains
he'd market new schemes at no loss
but his theme is weak and discharging
the plot imperious to cost.

For truth the crowds come groping
to get there they pay a big price,
but suspicion can anchor their hoping
he's acting like Elvis not Ike.

With musical voice on tax money
he sings a song of ambition.
If nothing else he's cunning
another distinct politician.

as Nippsy Russell would say

Pro is the opposite of con
and that is plainly seen.
If progress means to go forward
then what does congress mean?????

always a great show the election right....have seen a little bit of the show here in Holland...
