Let Me Stay Let me stay among the shades of green Among the the wildflower blues Don’t take me to a place where I Can’t see the meadow views Let me sit beside my window In the chill as winter blows And watch the piney needles Laden fresh with fallen snows Where cardinal comes to sit a while And blue jay’s never still And brushes all the piled snow From off my window sill Just let me stay where I was born Where springtime is ablaze With rainbow pinks and yellows In the warming sunny days I want to be where I can smell The earth in every breath And I will live in peace Until the season of my death Elizabeth Santos |

Liz, AGAIN! you did it again. Painted a naturally beautiful picture with your words and you made it look so easy. Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
