I wish so much someone would come Breathe upon my neck; kiss me with tenderness Someone to listen as I sigh about the things That happened to test my every finesse I wish someone would just be close That I could hold till sleep steals my dreams Someone to let me know I’m not forgotten When I can’t go on - it hurts so it seems I wish with all my heart someone would start My pulse pounding with a look that took My breath away in softest way And simply say, “You’re my man every day” Wish for that touch that means so much No words required but just inspired Wrap her arms around me tight All through the night with all her might Because I’ve got so much love to give I want to share it while I live So I really know I’m not in vain We’ll love until the night is stained Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least. ~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe ~ |

Wish for that touch that means so much No words required but just inspired Wrap her arms around me tight All through the night with all her might Because I’ve got so much love to give I want to share it while I live So I really know I’m not in vain We’ll love until the night is stained ================ Wil, I love this tender beautiful poem of longing...and you emote the way so many of us feel.... excellent rhyme and cadence to this ... and I love that last line.... love when you "stain" things ... I've said this before when ya used it-- what a cool phrase that is .. excellent read my friend later-staining-my-memory-gator jm |

Sharon- Thank you - and but for you it might not be getting the audience for which i intended it - Double thanks  RainyDays- I really do have a love in my life at the moment - and I hope she(it) stays for the rest of my days - but i've know this longing - and know it is common - so it was easy to recall and write - thank you JM- from reading your wondrful poetry - I know we share a great deal of common feelings Thank you so much later lots in common gater JW- I felt guilty writing so many hackneyed rhymes- (tight-might, live-give) but hoped a responsive chord could still be struck - I guess I did - thank you Karilea- Oh how I wish you could - 1000's of miles would be accomplished in a heartbeat - Thank you Ron - thank you |
