My back aches, my feet hurt, and my toes are turning blue
My skin's raw and my eyes bulge and I don't know what to do
My personal physician says my odds would be improvin
If I cut back on activities, but I know there's nothin doin

The shock of the pavement comin up my shoes is bruisin both my feet
And a blistered blister on a calloused corn can never be real neat
I thought another job would help me my bills pay
But now I'm just a-livin for the checks that come payday

My teeth itch, my ears ring, and I think I've got the flu
I've got eye bags, my sides hurt, but what else can I do
Just a few more hours of sleep would get my body healin
But I've gotta pull another shift, so I better get a movin

Bussin tables, milkiin cows, I sell flowers on the side
And ever odd day I fix cars, but I can't afford a ride
Every mornin early I go on my paper routes
Then I sit at a telephone hard-selling laundry chutes

My back aches, my feet hurt, and my toes are turnin blue
My teeth itch, my ears ring, and I think I've got the flu
I worked my little hiney off at jobs both far and near
And that is what I did on my vacation time this year

If I were any more laid back, I'd be in a coma.

well alicat, making ends meet is a tough...and I remember reading some work prior to this about you working so hard and your brother has it easy(or more money)...something along that line...hey nothing wrong with being a jack of all trades...know the feeling. Hang in there...your lucky numbers may be waiting.

Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox
