"Goodbye"

I wasn't the one that wanted to say goodbye,
or made the distance between us caused through a lie.
I wasn't the one that was playing a game.....
playing with feelings that includes so much pain.

I still can't understand, why you have done this to me...
or were you afraid to tell me, that you wanted to be free?
maybe there was someone else, that crossed up your mind....
was that the reason, that you decided to leave me behind.

Don't know the reason, why we had to say goodbye...
don't know the reason, why you have made me cry.....
and I really don't know, what you were up too...
but I do know, that my love for you was true.

I still can't believe that we are going our own way..
we have shared a lot, and now nothing more that I could say....
I love you, still care, but filled with fright for your lie....
my sweetlove, my love, that is my reason to say "Goodbye"!

Charisma

don't worry, I'm all over it.

Ouch! I can only imagine your pain, Charisma, but it's a good thing you're all over it.

Charisma,

Glad to see this is not a recent piece of writing.  Good for you.  It is nice to know you have worked those feelings out.  It is always for the best.  Nice writing.

I see that you certainly know what I have been feeling lately. This is a great poem, and the words touch my heart so directly. I'm glad you are not still hurting like this, and it gives me hope that I will stop, too.
Take care.

You've expressed yourself well in this piece Charisma ... a wonderfully moving verse, with sentiments that many can relate to at different points in our lives. I'm glad poetry gave you the outlet to help deal with this sorrow. Nicely done!

Best wishes,
