forever makes yesterdays last ...

with hands clinched tight
vowing never to lose sight
of the moment we shared
in a singular light
by the creek of our dreams
as yesterday it still seems

in my memory's moment of then
eyes of jade's sparkling gem
fixed upon mine of hazeled blue
for an eternity sent
to the creek of our lives
as a yesterday just arrived

we found what was amiss
in the capture of this
our instant of mutual
realization's kiss
as the creek of our past
forever makes yesterdays last
