I walk in the dreams of my youth
Fame, beauty, money and life
yet i cry in my dreams
The pain bites deep in me

I awake again alone
but for the whispering
this is what you have earned
and as i listen i remember

A summer long ago
when i left her by the shore
a love so purely easily scorned
by the river after the storm

I am left just another lonely heart
in the windows of my past
causing pain i can not place
eat me up inside an angels face

The sweat is dry upon my brow
the faint smell of her dream spirit now
plays upon the morning breeze even now
speaking of the loved i once disallowed

As i walk through my bejewelled palace
Beset with Ivory Gold and Rain
I look again into the future
And i see my past holding on to the pain.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
'Tis

this has torn at my soul, Walter...and I am inspired by your words..."The Windows of My Past"...

of all the treasures you have, you've lost the most precious. Sadly beautiful read my friend.

"Beset with Ivory Gold and Rain"
This IS stunning verse.

over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey.""
