A little girl kneels by her cot To God she did say, Keep safe all those I love a lot. A young lady stands at the altar To God she did say, Bless our marriage don’t let our love falter. A mother holds her newborn son. To God she did say, Help him to grow as your own. A grandmother rocks her grandchild. To God she did say, Protect him from this world that is so wild. A family stood around her grave To God they did say, Thank you for all the love that she gave. |
