She waited with anticipation
What would her job be today?
What little task would be given her,
Before she could go out and play?
Dressed in soft pink corduroy,
With little Keds on her feet,
Her wings she knew would help her,
Face any challenge she'd meet.
She heard her name and listened
As her chore for the day was read,
And her halo glistened brightly,
As it rested atop her head.
Oh my it was her turn for dusting,
Scattering sparkles from stars around,
She could hardly contain her excitment,
As she giggled her sweet angel sound.
Adjusting her dainty little wings,
She flew off with bucket in hand,
Landing softly on a cloud,
Gathering up the twinkling sand.
And when her pail could hold no more,
She sat and rested awhile,
Feeling so lucky to have this chore,
She beamed a sweet angel smile.
Soon she stood and got ready,
To spread her wings in flight,
Heading off to the crescent moon,
To finish her job this night.
Sitting on the very edge,
She lifted her bucket high,
Tipping it slowly upside down,
She watched the bright crystals fly.
Tired from all this heavenly work,
She cuddled up in the curve of the moon,
Dreaming sweet little cherub dreams,
Hoping she'd have this job again soon.

I never thought about what angels dream about! This is a sweet poem and I love these lines.

If your poetry is this darling, just imagine what it would be like if you drew these images! Very sweet!
