Child Eternity

Seedbed clouds above his head
Like tufts of a feather bed.
Leisurely pace float in grace
Fill the blue above his face.

Distilled in the mornings chill
From drifting winds of freedoms will.
Dancing o'er the country side
Play hid and seek and collide.

He loves the magic shapes go by
The manifest of timeless sky
The changing face of endless drape
Sorceries continuous shape.

Illusions bearing dreams in guile
Misconceptions conveyed to wile.
Materials to build in air
Those fantasies of mental dare.

The child builds forever new
Eternity into view.

One of my favourite books is "the little prince" and your poem brought back memories of the book and left me the same warm innocent feeling. I think every so often we should just let our inner childs run free. Wonderful poem.

Seymour....
Some of us never outgrow our wonder when we look up into the sky, and we still try to see eternity.
This was a beautiful write, and I certainly enjoyed it through my child eyes!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it

Seymour~
The vastness of the sky is a canvas upon which we,
as children, float our fantasies ...
Beautifully painted, my friend.

...and when we grow up, we're criticized for having our heads in the clouds. Go figure. I like the way your clouds constructed this one, Sy
