Listening to every heart

Awake

sweetest sound of still slumber
soft breath of vital love
slender hand upon thy chest
'tis this hour, to treasure best

pre-dawn light of shadows reach
to outline and kiss thy expression
of gentle dreams sweetly breached
of angels come from heaven

and lo, you stir, and wake, and sigh
and catch up this angel of your eye

Beautiful. I know this is meant to be a romantic poem, but have to share this. I have really only felt this kind of tender sweetness, when my granddaughter sleeps with me on Friday nights.(she's 4) I lie there and look at her, and brush her tiny face with my hand. I would have written this poem for her..

This is beautiful! Unknown to you, you've penned a kodak morning I had. It happened just as you said. Sandra's comment was special & added to the beauty.     Marcy
