The Butterfly and the Bee. ~~Daniel J D~~ The Butterfly said to the Bee I hear humans talk about honey You work so hard every day Going from flower to flower When the day is over Do you think it is worth the pay. The Bee answered the Butterfly. Pay, I do not get paid for my work At the end of the day, I see smiles. Smiles, said the Butterfly. But they use you, steal your honey All that work for nothing. Listen, Butterfly said the Bee I live and work to see people enjoy Enjoy! Said the Butterfly. Yes, replied the Bee. You see. Most people are sad and lonely. As little as I am, I feel their pain So I work hard to ease their strain. But, how said the Butterfly. Well, responded the Bee. Look at yourself, you are beautiful You wear colours of the rainbow Like me you work as hard Going from flower to flower To make people smile and be happy. When they see a Butterfly They suddenly rejoice at the beauty Of nature, and the little flyabouts. So, that is the answer, said the Butterfly The answer to curing the world's ills. Not quite, said the Bee. You, a Butterfly is beauty And me, a Bee is honey. So, what is the answer then? Well, its simple. Beauty and sweetness Both combine to bring happiness Meaning, happy people make a better world. So let's get back to work To make more honey and living colours. And make this world a better place Where everyone and everything Live in harmony. By the way Butterfly, get off my flower This is my space. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |

'Well, its simple. Beauty and sweetness Both combine to bring happiness Meaning, happy people make a better world.' You've penned some great lines, there. A little different style, Daniel, but still, beautifully written! (as always) I really enjoyed this!! sp Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: 'it might have been.' -John Greenleaf Whittier |
