May the shadows of yesterday
Become the dreams of tomorrow
Rain at my feet, torrents of sorrow
Lilac in my hand, bouquet of dismay
Compassion into nightmare
Empty meanings, feelings rare
Shattering, blinding!

Staring at the stars
Disillusioned, confused
The sounds of my screams
Echoing in the waves of the roars
Trembling in agony's realms
Resting my aching heart
Upon the soft dew
Until the morning sun
Glows over the shadow
Of this mind torned apart.

The river still flows
To the ocean of sadness
Where dim lights masquerade
And the silhouettes invade
Dreams lasting forever
Evaporating all the anger
In the silence of the night
Once more! The depths of sorrow
Creeping, swarming, swamping
A tired soul that seeks
Only a moment of peace
From the trauma and ordeal
Of a battered, and savaged mind

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

Daniel*
Your screams are heard across the page and
the power of your pen gained you the release
of them...keep writing and continue to let
the healing of hope and dreams
in...Excellent work~

A very powerful expression. It reads like a nightmare almost. I enjoyed this!

Butterflies,
Temptress,
And Snowpants,
Thank you for your beautiful and compassionate words. At times the scream can deafened the roar of Vesuvius. Cheers

Very, very moving and poignant - so full of pain.  Well worded.  Also strong, and powerful, as these emotions truly are!
Well done.

To wayoutwalt, BSC, Charisma, and Rosemary,
Thank you all for your comforting words. Screams are often very silent, and many people out there have not the courage to let it out. God give them strength.
