voice of the ocean ... a cool wind whispers through the open reeds in joyful unison singing their sorrowed songs skirting above dunes tanned of rising sand zephyred salt-spray coats the air thick a lonely gull hovers above an intended strike its squinting eye tells of brisk's briny bite his wonder of where goes sun's warmth and light as the gray horizon meets the blackened sea a season's change on the jet stream ways to this landscar on the water's bright days gives my beach of near-winter's touching gusts pushing my wings in defiance of flying so there you are, oh voice of the ocean come to play among us hiding little notions a bellowing gale scurries upon your whispers carry me on 'til a return to your waters M.A. Miller 10.20.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. I love the ocean, this is one I read over and over again. "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey."" Laurie Lee Kathleen |

The ocean never ceases to amaze us. A great write very close to most hearts. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
