Adam's Song II - Matt.R

Who could have thought I'd die alone,
Most things were better safe at home.
It all had changed through simple eyes,
Eyes when shut can't find a place to hide.
"It's easy turn and leave", they say.
But where were you when I felt this way?
I never saw to see my fall,
I can't remember being loved at all.

I never changed when seasons came.
Yesterday held all the better times.
Times where I could feel alive,
I couldn't wait to get outside.
Our choses wide, no need to hide,
The fear was always kept inside.
Way down here where it's never heard,
Why does it stay? Why does it hurt?

Who would have thought I'd die alone,
Was I forgotten or never known?
I know somethings cannot be changed,
Somethings should never be held inside.
Inside is not a place for you to confide,
It should be shared with ones for which you care.
With those who bother to be there.
It may be now you can feel the pain,
But tommorrow there'll be no rain.

Thats a great poem, It has a lot of meaning, I am glad you chose to share it with us, I enjoyed rading it as it brought back memories of my first poem, and how much it meant to me . Great job, I can't wait to read your next one .
