Crab Louie Killed Uncle Stan

Uncle Stan was a frugal man
In many ways a miser -
Likened to a Magpie
Quite the financial advisor.

Mindful of every penny
He retired a wealthy man
Still he lived a regular life
Drove a ten-year-old mini-van.

One exception Stanley made
To his otherwise plain routine
It seemed that Crab Louie
Was his favorite cuisine.

He always supped at the same place
The Nantucket, at the end of the pier,
He and buddies never missed a day
Or a round of beer.

One day around lunchtime
The diner called the house
The coroner was looking for
Next of kin, or a spouse.

Stanley had dropped dead
Of a major heart attack
Face down in his Crab Louie
His head hit with a smack.

It would be a cardinal sin
To order his usual spread,
So I think I’ll order
The Lobster Louie instead.
